Woman who stole groceries from Walmart dropped 3-year-old on ground during escape
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police arrested a woman who they say ran off with unpaid groceries and dropped a 3-year-old child on the ground in the process.
Jacariah Girton, 21, turned herself in for the crimes on Monday.
According to arrest documents, Girton walked out of the Walmart on Bashford Manor Lane on Dec. 17 with about $100 to $150 of groceries that she didn’t pay for. She also had a 3-year-old child in her arms at the time.
Police said when Walmart loss prevention tried to stop her, she fled and dropped the child on the ground before driving away.
